Thiru Kollikaadu - Pongu Saniswaran



This temple is located in Thirukollikadu near Thiruthuraipoondi in Thiruvarur district.




Heavy Sani dosham will get reduced by worshipping the Sani Bhagavan at Thirukollikadu.




The people have performing pooja with Vanni leaf and Kondrai flower.Black cloth and lightup with Gingelly seed and all those things will get from infront of the Temple

Saturday : 07:00 A.M. To 08:00 P.M. (No Lunch Break).
Other Days: 09:30A.M. To 12:00 P.M. and 04:30P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

    Dear All,

    Please don't trust Viswanathan Gurukkal. He is using god as business and earning everything without doing anything for the temple.
    Every single penny going to his packet rather to HRMC or to the welfare of the temple.
    Rather he is not doing any satisfying pooja for the people going all the way to the temple.

    Very sorry to say, he is a CHEAT.

    We went to this great temple last week. The priest was quite nice and did not try to extract money or even try to sell anything. But the temple timings are quite random. They close as 7 pm and for lunch at 12 noon. So plan your trip and call the temple before heading out. The temple has lots of history and should be visited by married couples.

    I went to this temple last year. The gurukal performed the pooja very well. I had a very good dharshan. I didn't feel anything wrong happening there. If someone feels the income is not spent for the temple. I think people can donate personally and help to renovate the temple. Instead of telling something wrong about others we can do something good for the temple which no one would stop it.This is my opinion. Correct me if iam wrong.

    I went to temple 15 days back. I met Kurukkal, I had very good darshan, and the gurukkal done a very good pooja, and I am fully satisfied with the Pooja. One small problem is for transportation. Request to maintain the road and also request the transport division for increasing the schedule of the buses.

    I KNOW VERY WELL ABOUT THIS TEMPLE.VISWANATHA KURUKKAL IS NOT AT ALL A STAFF OF THIS TEMPLE.HIS SON IS WORKING AS A TEMPERORY STAFF AND TEMPLE ADMINISTRATION IS TRYING TO APPOINT A NEW PERSON ON THIS POST AND THAT IS STOPPED SUCCESSFULLY BY THIS PERSONS.NO DOUBT THAT HE IS A CHEAT.ALL THE MATERIALS GIVEN DIRECTLY TO THIS PERSONS ARE NOT USED AND THEY ARE SELLING THE GINGELLY OIL AND OTHER POOJA MATERIALS IN THEIR HOME AT CHEAPER PRICE.HE IS NOT USING THIS MATERIALS EVEN IN THE POOR TEMPLE AT THIRUTHANGUR WHICH IS SITUATED BESIDES HIS HOUSE.IN ORDER TO AVOID COMPLAINTS ABOUT HIM HE THREATENS THE DEVOTEES NOT TO TURN BACK OR TO SPEAK ANYBODY.OTERWISE THE PARIKARAM WILL NOT WORK.CONTACT THE OFFICE.     Namaskhar for all devotees of Pongu Saneeswarar. I have visited this temple recently and had a very good dharshan and the gurukkal is really a very good man. He has done the pooja very well and Iam fully satisfied.This is not a crtificate to him but comes from the bottom of my heart.I dont know him inthe past. Pl be good for all. S.Mohanram.Salem.

    Instead of discussing the Great Sani Deva most people are discussing about the priest there.Just go there concentrate with all your heart and surrender completely to Sani deva and pray sincerely.Also keep some change to give to the poor beggars and keep some food for the crows around the temple.Bow to all the Moorthys including Vahni Tree.Chant Sani Ashtothara or Sani Chaalisa or any other prayer.Light Navagraha Lamp.That is the best Parihara.

    I went there last Saturday and found that there is no proper system to do any Parihara or pooja, so people have only one choice-to contact Mr.Vishwanathan or his son.They charged Rs 650 for an Abhisheka(which was done very quickly).Outside the temple I paid Rs 100 for one Annadhanam.

    I m travelling today by bus from Tiruvarur to Thirukollikadu. Limited direct bus service at 7.30,9.05,13.15,15.30,21.10 hours and few other connecting bus services at 6.10,8.20,11.00, 16.30,16.40 and 17.00 hours are available
